the Doctors
Herbert
J. Elfring Jr. D.D.S.
Dr.
Elfring was born and raised in Jackson, Michigan. He attended
Jackson Parkside High School, where he graduated Summa Cum
Laude. He went on to Michigan State University, where he graduated
in Physiology with honors. From there, it was the Dental school
at the University of Detroit, where he graduated with honors
in 1979.
Dr.
Elfring has been married for 30 years to his college sweetheart
and has two daughters. His older daughter graduated from the
University of Notre Dame in mechanical engineering and is
presently working for Nissan Technical Center in Farmington
Hills. The younger daughter is attending the University of
Notre Dame and majoring in architecture. Dr. Elfring has lived
in Novi since 1982, and he and his wife are actively involved
in the community.
Dr.
Elfring received numerous recognitions during dental school.
He was class president for two years, received a Crown and
Bridge Society Award, and graduated in the top 5% of his class.
Dr. Elfring has continued his dental education through over
1000 hours of dental courses in Root Canals, Crown and Bridge,
Orthodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry.
In
Dr. Elfring’s spare time, he enjoys snow and water skiing,
golf, tennis, and MSU football games.
Brian
H. Andress, D.D.S.
Dr.
Andress has been practicing general dentistry for over 20
years. He had wanted to be a dentist since the age of six!
After growing up in Waterford, Michigan and graduating from
Waterford Kettering High School, Dr. Andress was accepted
into Lyman Briggs College at Michigan State University. While
there, he met Linda, his wife of 21 years. Dr. Andress continued
his education at the University of Michigan Dental School,
graduating in 1986.
During
his first year of practicing dentistry, Dr. Andress met Dr.
Elfring while they were associates at the same dental office.
They each went on to start their own practices. In 1987, Dr.
Andress opened his first office in Livonia. In 1998, Dr. Andress
went into partnership with Dr. Elfring, moving his practice
to its present location.
Staying
current on all the latest advances in dentistry is a priority
for Dr. Andress, and he enrolls in continuing education classes
each year and attends various seminars around the country.
Dr.
Andress and his wife Linda have lived in Novi since 1991.
Their four children attend school in Northville.
Outside
of family and work, Dr. Andress’ interests include spinning,
biking, running, Vinyassa yoga, spending time in Elk Rapids,
and rooting for all Michigan State teams!
