Porcelain
Veneers are very thin customized casings that cover the front
of your teeth. One of the most popular and effective developments
in cosmetic dentistry, veneers can be used to address a variety
of common dental problems, including:
- uneven
teeth
- worn
enamel
- discoloration
- chipped
teeth
- irregular
spacing
With
lifespan that can exceed 15 years, veneers can sometimes serve
a restorative purpose while protecting damaged teeth from
further harm.
First,
your teeth undergo a thorough examination that can include
x-rays and dental impressions. Then, we remove a thin layer
of enamel from your teeth and send an impression to the laboratory
where the veneer is created. While the veneer mold is being
developed, you are fitted with temporary veneers. Approximately
two weeks later, the size and color of the veneer is adjusted
a final time before being cemented to your tooth.
Porcelain
veneers enhance the natural appearance of your teeth, and
they are stain resistant.
Veneers
are a cosmetic procedure, and many dental insurers will not
cover this type of elective dental service; however, you can
talk to our staff about available financing options.
