Meet Dr. Grant Prior

Dentistry as a profession gives me the ability to create a positive change in the lives of my patients. I believe in the utmost quality and compassionate dental care taking the time to connect with every patient. My goal is to make people feel as comfortable as possible through conversation while building relationships. Oral hygiene education is very important to me as it gives my patients the tools and knowledge to actively improve gum health between appointments.

It brings me great satisfaction to relieve people of dental pain during emergency care. My goal as a dentist is to transform my patient’s view of their smile so that they are more confident. To me, dentistry is the perfect intersection of esthetic art and surgical science.

Education and Continuing Education

I was raised in the Novi area and attended Detroit Catholic Central High school just right up the road. I knew that dentistry was my calling since a very young age. I enjoy working with my hands and wanted to have a career where I could truly help people and make a difference.

  • Bachelors Degree in Biology- University of Detroit Mercy- Graduated Magna Cum Laude
  • Doctorate in Dental Surgery- University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry
  • Degree in Spanish Language Studies- University of Detroit Mercy

To me, it’s important to stay up to date on the latest clinical research and surgical techniques. Areas that interest me are advancements in digital dentistry, esthetic smile design, and dental implant therapy. I believe that being a lifelong learner, with a drive for constant improvement, leads to more successful patient procedure outcomes.

Outside the Office

In my free time, I immerse myself in the beautiful Michigan outdoors through fly fishing, skiing, golf, and wakeboarding. As a PADI master scuba diver, my passion is exploring the underwater shipwrecks of the Great Lakes. I enjoy spending time in northern Michigan on the lake with family and friends.
